Vision INSPECTION

2D cameras can be used in a variety of applications to automate and error proof inspection processes.  Cameras are mounted in one of two locations, either stationary in view of the object in question, or on the end of a robot arm.

These cameras can be programmed to look for specific features of a part, such as bar-code reading, image or color presence, label location, and dimensional measurements.

Typical applications of vision inspection vary from beside a conveyor tracking moving parts, to a cart system where a user loads one part at a time.

Vision is light dependent so most vision systems will include a back light or forward light to control white balance, as well as guarding to filter unwanted light.
